BOISE MATERNITY & NEWBORN PHOTOGRAPHER ❘ IT’S A BOY!

I got to take some maternity pictures of my sister early this summer, back when the grasses were green and the spring flowers were still in bloom.  I’m still SOOO ready for it to be the beginning of summer again.  Why has this one seemed so short!!?  A tropical spring break is already beckoning me.  Pardon my brief digression… more importantly!!–I got to meet my newest nephew several days ago.  He’s already almost four weeks old and is as sweet as can be.  He is in good company in the land of cousinhood.  With a ratio of 5 boys to 2 girls all under the age of five, how could that not mean years and years of good boy fun!  Welcome to the family Torben!

Lisa - September 11, 2010 - 12:08 am

BOISE CHILDREN’S PHOTOGRAPHER ❘ THE PERFECT GETAWAY

An annual trip to the ocean should be one of life’s requirements for those of us who are inlanders.  I’m not sure how those that live on the coast accomplish much; it would be so hard for me to stay off the beach all the time!  The local folks in Oregon claim this has been their dreariest summer in over 30 years.  The skies were definitely more gray than blue but did not detract in any way from the awesomeness of it all.  It was a perfect getaway.

I decided to process these images of our first day at the beach in black and white.  I LOVE black and white images and am so drawn to them when I view other photographer’s work.  There are so many different ways to process images and although I enjoy looking at more heavily processed images, I can’t seem to stray too far from keeping those that I create ‘clean’, maybe because they allow the viewer to feel as though they could be right there in the image themselves.  So… my quest to create the perfect black and white conversion continues.

Angela - August 26, 2010 - 1:37 pm

BOISE CHILDREN’S PHOTOGRAPHER ❘ SUMMER, LEMONADE & THREE YEAR OLDS…

such a fabulous trio!  If only summer would last forever!  Elsa and her friend Violet have enjoyed their play dates as of late.  They get to have fun doing what three year olds do best while Violet’s mom, Jennifer, and I enjoy chatting about all things photography and practicing refining our skills.  Oftentimes, our conversation seems to shift to ‘when will these children of ours start cooperating more with our efforts to photograph them?’  Not sure when that day will come, but in the meantime it’s fun to enjoy the captures that reflect who they are today, priceless three year olds!

Jules - August 19, 2010 - 3:48 pm
