I’ve known the lady in these images for several years now. The first time I met her she was livin’ large (in a pregnant sort of way) and about to add their daughter to the family. I’ve since begun working with her on a regular basis and enjoy her lots. Not only is she good at what she does, but she’s funny and sometimes loud too! I appreciate that in people, probably because I’m rarely loud and may only be funny to myself and my kids… ouch, it hurts to write that. Anyway, these four were so comfortable with one another that it was easy to photograph them and get some images that are true to who they are. Glad you liked them Ms. V!

This little guy was so sweet to hang out with for the afternoon. He was a little sleepy but not quite enough for me to try out some new poses on. One would think newborns would be relatively easy to photograph but they can actually be quite challenging, at least for me. One of my personal photography goals for 2011 is to master photographing the little tykes.
It’s best (and easiest) to photograph newborns during their first week of life so be sure to plan for that when considering a session.

These girls have known each other since they were in diapers. They thought it would be fun to get together for some group shots since they will all be graduating this year. They may not all attend the same school, but they are equally excited to complete high school and ‘go forth and conquer’. Enjoy your senior year girls!!

…the interactions, the children, the eyes, the fun, the first taste of snow… What was intended to be a fall shoot–complete with leaves, warm weather and gorgeous colors–instead turned into a full blown snow outing. Thanks to this family’s flexibility and adventurous spirits, we worked it! Of course, they didn’t need much prompting from me to have a good time as the images clearly indicate.
